**UPDATE**

5/23/24

Emily was discharged yesterday and will be starting an outpatient rehab therapy program soon. The doctors are saying that it will be about 8 weeks before she will be able to endure more than 20lbs of pressure (like stepping/walking.)

Then the next part of the process will be physical therapy to strengthen the area at that time.

It will be a long few months for Emily, but she is a tough cookie!

Hi, my name is Jess and I’m starting this gofundme for Emily Jones, one of my best friends.

Emily was in a serious car accident on May 15 when another driver pulled out in front of her while she was driving down Kurt St in Eustis on her way to work.

Emily was airlifted to Orlando where her injuries needed immediate multiple surgeries. Her pelvis was crushed and her femur was dislocated out of the socket. She has had a plate inserted and screws to repair.

Once she gets out of the hospital, Emily won’t be able to walk for months. The treatment and physical therapy will be a long and difficult journey ahead.

Since Emily works in the hospitality industry, getting back to work in the near future is completely out of the question, leaving her without a source of income for her and her daughter Weslie.

Please help give whatever you are able to support if you have the means, Emily would give the shirt off of her back to anyone in need and I know if you are reading this that you’ve been touched in some way by her kindness in the past.
