Madison’s Heart Surgery

 

Hello Family and Friends. I am writing with a humbled heavy heart. We have been fighting in silence and can no longer sustain this emotional roller coaster alone. My niece Madison Liganor has been recently diagnosed with Atrioventricular Septal Defect (AVSD). AVSD is a condition where there are holes in between the chambers of the right and left side of the heart. Additionally, the doctors are suspecting that Madison might have Down Syndrome, but there's no test done yet to confirm. Madison has seen two pediatric cardiologist and has done multiple test in regards to her heart. Both doctors recommended urgent surgery. This surgery is typically performed much earlier on. Per the recommendations of the specialized physicians with Madison’s age of 1 year and 5 months urgency is of the essence. With all of this being current and unexpected news to my brother Michael’s family they are unprepared to meet all the Financial aspects that go along with surgery and post surgery. Due to personal reason, Madison is currently still residing in the Philippines and unable to return with my brother to America due to proper document deficiencies. Due to the time frame and urgency of Madison’s surgery it will be performed in the Philippines. Madison’s scheduled surgery date is February 22, 2022. Unfortunately my brothers insurance from America does not cover Madison medical expenses and everything will be paid out of pocket. My brother has also been through his own personal medical issues late last year with his stroke and heart attack. Due to my brothers medical condition he has been working only part time. With my brother only working only part time and being the sole bread winner of his family, tackling all the finacial aspects of this procedure and all it entails is going to be difficult for him and his family. I am humbly reaching out to all our family and friends near and far for any monetary donations; contributions and prayers. We are fully aware with COVID and other personal life situation everyone maybe going through that this may not be the right time. Please do not feel obligated and we will definitely understand. Any and all contributions is greatly appreciated and will 100% go towards Madison’s surgery and all the post op appointments and therapies. We humbly thank and love you all.
