The Hey Everyone! I'm Oscar Aguilar. I am also known as TheRegular to many of you. Chicago born and raised indie/folk artist. I am starting this campaign to raise the funds to finally get an album professionally produced. I have the opportunity to be working with a Label but before I can do that, I need to have a professional sound behind my music. The funds will pay for production, recording, engineering, distribution and filming.
The type of music I write is very lyric driven. When I write a song I try to make it as catchy as possible so that the audience can take in the message and keep it. Usually the songs that I write are about things that I've been through and struggles that I've overcome and lessons I've learned. Some of what I write is easily relatable to others such as being loved, hurt, homeless, losing something, and even gaining something.
When I perform on stage, it gives me a place to call home. Not too long ago I moved from my home in Chicago Illinois all of the way out to Los Angeles California to persue music. Music is the only source I have to communicate with the world and we all have something to say. I know we do!
I've kept my words bottled up inside myself for so long. There is so much that I want to share with you. If I can make this album, if I can get the chance to have my music be played, I promise that I will take this all of the way. I'll never quit. Music is my life and I can't see myself without it. Thank you
