Help Lexi and Her Family

Hi, my name is Crystal and I'm fundraising on behalf of my sister Alex, her boyfriend Jamie, and their beloved pup, Lexi. Alex and Jamie took Lexi to the vet on Monday this week with a swollen stomach and after an X-ray and bloodwork, it was determined that she had a large mass near her liver that was potentially cancerous. They were referred to Angell Memorial in Boston where Lexi was taken for an ultrasound and biopsy. The doctors drained a liter of liquid from her belly and also found a tumor on her spleen. The liver mass and spleen will both need to be removed and there is, unfortunately, a very high likelihood the mass is malignant. Lexi will be having surgery tomorrow to remove the spleen and tumor. If it is malignant, Lexi will also need chemotherapy after her surgery which will add to the expanding costs of this ordeal.

Along with all of this terrible news, the hospital bills are already piling up, and Alex and Jamie are initially looking at at least $10,000 for the surgery, hospital stay, testing, etc. Likely this number will rise significantly if Lexi also needs post-surgical chemo and continued care.

Alex and Jamie will do anything to save Lexi and hope this surgery and any further necessary treatment will extend her life as long as possible. Lexi is their best friend, and she is the best good girl there ever was!! Please consider donating to help them save their fur baby!!
