Female Driven Short Film

Hey folks,

Our names are Paige, Naomi, Lucy, Sarah and DC and we are creating our film called "Seeing the Wolf"!

 

Everyone knows the story of Little Red Riding Hood - a naive girl mindlessly travels through the forest, perfect bait for a hungry wolf. There are so many different versions of this story - multiple endings, multiple interpretations - but one core value stays the same; if a girl is naive, she will be attacked.

 

We want to tell a story that takes revenge on behalf of little Red and all the girls she represents. As an all female creative team, we hope to illustrate it best through film.

 

In a small town, as if on the edge of the world, Blanchette - a sullen young woman lives an isolated life alone with her mother. The peace of isolation is invaded when a family friend returns home to her village and starts to regularly visit her home, each time she sees him, she becomes increasingly agitated. Her mother, whom she hoped would sense her mood, enjoys the man’s company. Enduring intense nightmares revealing her traumatic assault she begins to realize why only she wants this man gone and has to decide what she is willing to do to make it happen.
