Mark Johnson has selflessly devoted his life to helping others.  He works with developmentally delayed adults and along with his wife Niluka Williams-Johnson, they have opened their home to foster care for many children.  Mark also ministers to the homeless on a weekly basis, conducts bible studies to those that want hear the Word of God and have gone on several missions trips to help the underprivileged.  These are just a few of his contributions to serve the Lord but we know he wants to do much more to touch and be a blessing to many more.

On November 24th, 2019, Mark was sharing the Word of God in New York at a church conference.  While speaking, he suffered an acute stroke, which resulted in bleeding in his brain.  He is currently being treated at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York. While there he has been kept in the ICU for several days, ran multiple tests, MRIs, CT scans, medication, physiotherapy and much more.  Due to the stroke, he is not able to use his arms or legs on his right side. 

As a non-resident travelling in the USA and with no medical insurance through his employer, Mark’s hospital bill will be quite high.  The daily costs in a US hospital can range upwards of $4000/day. Our goal is to bring Mark back home to Canada as soon as possible.  His wife is trying to secure a medical transfer to get him home.
