Aid for affected by the earthquake in Turkey

Large parts of southeastern Turkey have been shaken by severe earthquakes. While rescue and recovery work in the larger cities is progressing unbearably slowly even on the third day, those affected in the rural villages are largely on their own. 

Official relief supplies and professional rescue teams are slow in arriving, in part because the main roads are unsafe to travel or they are far too damaged to use, thus reaching the most affected areas are beyond difficult. Most villages lie in ruins. The uninjured inhabitants have reached the limits of their strength and capabilities. They can still hear the survivors' cries for help from under the rubble. They often have to watch helplessly as relatives and friends fall victim to the disaster for lack of machinery and helpers. 

Survivors have lost everything and must make do without shelter in winter weather. Basic goods are scarce, especially food and water; electricity has failed over a large area. Most of the elderly residents, our grandfathers, grandmothers, uncles, aunts and cousins, need our support!

Rest assured that every donation will fully benefit the people affected by this disaster. We will use the money for food, water, fuel and emergency shelter. We are in close contact with the mayor responsible for the above mentioned villages. Through him, we will send your donations to the affected people.
