My name is Joe and I am going to tell you a little story about my best friend, Josh AKA (sunshine) and his best friend Kylie (AKA Wife).
I first met Sunshine at Domino's Pizza where he always had a smile and a great attitude. He would always ask how you were and do anything he could to make sure he touched your soul that day. Josh is the best human being I have ever met in my life. So much so that I gave him the nickname SUNSHINE! This boy could light a room up when he walked in with his spirit and the love he had for anyone around him. We grew to become Best friends and he even became family, so much so that I named one of my boys after him. This is why I need to do everything I can to help him during his families time of need.
I want to share a little story with you. This is a story about 2 kids that fell in love! Whether or not you believe in love at first sight, there was probably a moment that you knew you loved, or were starting to fall in love with that special someone! These moments can be Happy, sometimes heartbreaking, silly, and sad. For Josh and Kylie it was no different! When they met it was in Brigham Young University-Idaho in January of 2014. They both were in a dance class where they first laid eyes on each other. Sunshine was taken back by her beauty and her smile and laugh. They started dating and eventually got married and both graduated. 5 years later they found out they were blessed and expecting a baby girl (London their little ray of sunshine)! London was expected to be born on 6/29/2020. As Kylie was headed to her 20 week appointment someone T boned her and totaled the vehicle. Mom and baby were ok, but the car was a total loss. They were able to get a car that was new to them and as soon as they got it it started to have issues. Being a 2016 they didn't think it would be to hard to have the dealer cover it . They got it fixed and all was right in the world for a few months. At 28 weeks Kylie started having a little trouble and went to the hospital where she found out she was going to have to have an emergency C section because of sever pre-eclampsia. This was scary since it was only 4/7/2020. London was not done in the oven, but none the less she was coming to meet mom and dad. Being new parents Josh and Kylie had tons of questions but no time for answers, because the baby needed to get here so that mom and baby would be safe. London arrived on 4/10/2020 and was immediately taken to the NICU.
The world is crazy right now with Covid-19 and riots and looting going on. With Josh just starting a new job, medical bills adding up, traveling back and forth and more car troubles these cost are starting to add up quick. London is growing and getting stronger all while making very little to no improvements. London is having trouble holding food down due to acid reflux and is having a really hard time breathing. Doctors have run every test possible, blood work, an MRI, genetic testing, x-rays, you name it London has had it. They decided it was time to fly her from Idaho's EIRMC to Utah's Primary Children's Medical center on Life flight on her original due date, 6/29/2020. Due to Covid, neither mom or dad could fly with her.
They started their travel to Utah where the car that was new to them, broke down from what we think is blown engine only 1.5 hrs into the drive of a 3.5 hr drive or so. Baby London arrived safely at the new hospital and is getting settled in. Josh and Kylie have been on an emotional rollercoaster as new parents and they can't catch a break and need our help. Baby London is not able to breath on her own and she is not able to keep her food down. All test are coming back completely normal which means no answers for Mom and Dad. With bills and all charities such as the Ronald McDonald house and almost every thing that can help them through this hard time being shut down due to Covid, I am hoping the good people from our friends and family and anyone that sees this on their page can help them. Mom and Dad can't wait to be with her at home! There are many challenges ahead, but with community support, this beautiful and strong family will be able to overcome them. The funds raised through this page will help take care of the healthcare and living expenses and help them reach their little girl in another state. This will be a long road for their family but with your support it could make the journey a little bit easier!
