My name is Jill Zornow. I am Jon Atkinson's sister. He has gotten full custody of his two daughters in October and is working and supporting them on his own. Right before Christmas his 8 year old Brylee started having back pain and had trouble walking. After several visits to doctors and emergency rooms he finally ended up at Children's Hospital. After doing a MRI they discovered a large tumor on Brylee's brain, several tumors down her spine, throughout her nervous system. They diagnosed her with Medulloblastoma Tumors. She has had two emergency surgeries already and has a very long road ahead of her. She will need months of radiation and Chemotherapy along with therapy to help her with her walking again. My brother Jon could really use some help while he is staying with his daughter at the hospital. Any kind of donations would be greatly appreciated and please keep Brylee in your prayers. 02/01/2023 Brylee is going tomorrow afternoon at 1 to get the bronchoscopy done and add a feeding tube. Brylee will be taken off the ventilator tomorrow too. On February 7th, Brylee will have a port put in for her chemo treatments.

02/09/2023 Brylee's ventilator settings are 40% and her peeps at 8. She also has bacterial and fungi in her lungs and urine. It may be throughout her body too. They started Brylee on antibiotics and she is responding well to it. Her ventilator settings are slowly coming down and may be off the ventilator the earliest is sometime Saturday or latest is early next week. They are delaying radiation until she is off the ventilator.

02/10/2023 Brylee's right lower lung is collapsed with a bunch of secretions and mucus (pus) with inflammation. Her right lung is slowly but gradually opening up. She has a fungi infection in her right lung. Her ventilator settings are being lowered to 40% and 5 peeps. Brylee may need another bronchoscopy to open her right lung up and to clean it out. She will have CPAP test this afternoon to see how she will handle breathing on her own without the ventilator. If Brylee's right lung would fully open they will take her off the ventilator at the earliest tomorrow. Nothing has changed in the sizes of the tumors but she has some tumors across her membrane in the brain.

02/10/2023 Brylee passed her CPAP test this afternoon. She'll have another CPAP test four in the morning and if passing it, she'll probably be off the ventilator sometime tomorrow.

02/13/2023 Brylee passed the CPAP test during the night. She is on the ventilator. She still has a fungi infection in her lungs and weaning her off the ventilator. Settings for the ventilator are 40% and 5 peeps.

02/13/2023 Brylee is still on the ventilator. The settings are 55% and 7 peeps.

02/13/2023 They increased the settings on the ventilator 55% and 7 peeps. She has a low grade fever and sending out blood work and cultures to see if she has any new infections.

02/14/2023 Brylee's ventilator settings are 40 and 6 peeps. She had a fever during the night and gave her Tylenol. They added an antibiotic, if case she has another infection somewhere else. They may stop her feeding, so they can her take off the ventilator sometime today.

02/14/2023 Brylee is off the ventilator. Praise the Lord!

02/14/2023 I just spoke to Brylee's nurse and her lung did collapse. Brylee is on the BiPap with high settings and if needed they'll put Brylee back on the ventilator.
