Fire Fund

On September 29, 2019, a fire broke out in the kitchen of Julie, Tristan, Michael, and Pat's home and rapidly spread out into the house. Fortunately, insurance is going to come through, but it takes time. Most of their clothes and many of their everyday things were destroyed or badly damaged by fire, water, or smoke. Their entire house will have to be gutted and rebuilt, and they are also grieving the loss of two of their three beloved cats. The family is currently staying in a hotel with limited cooking facilities, and with special medical dietary needs and prescriptions that need replacing, the costs are adding up quickly. This is made all the worse by the fact that Julie has lost her job as of October 4. The family is trying to keep their spirits up, but trying to deal with this calamity on one teacher’s salary is proving insurmountable.
