We are incredibly excited to announce that UGA Mock Trial qualified to compete at Nationals in Chicago, Illinois!
Advancing to Nationals is a huge accomplishment, but it requires a lot of time and money. As a student-run program, the majority of our funding is raised through student dues and donations. We try our best to keep our membership dues for competition and travel to a minimum; however, due to our lack of funding, our members have to pay around $250 each semester to keep our program running.
Unfortunately, the supplies, hotel rooms and extra fees of the Nationals competition exceed our savings for the year, so we're fundraising to take this extra financial burden off our members. Our program has worked incredibly hard for this opportunity, and we would be devastated if members were not able to compete due to these costs.
We would greatly appreciate donations of any amount to help ease the financial burden on our team of students!
We've included a breakdown of how much each fee costs, so you know how and where your donations are being spent:
-Nationals Fees (registration and scrimmages): $890
-Hotel Costs (two rooms for five nights): $2100
-Travel Costs (flights to Chicago): $1000
-Supplies Fees (emergency needs and demonstratives): $400
