As Julie is healing from her double mastectomy surgery, many friends and family are asking how they can help. So we set up this gift fund to help Julie through her healing. A double mastectomy is a major surgery and it’s going to take some time before she will be back up to speed again. She will likely be out of work for several months as she will need reconstructive surgery and other treatments before she is passed all this.

During this time of healing, she really doesn't need flowers or casseroles, but instead wouldn't it be great if we could all come together to create a gift fund for her to use for things she does need, like getting a housekeeper, purchasing endless Prime movies, Door Dashing at will, buying new pajamas from Amazon or whatever!

Julie has always been a leader and pillar of strength and resilience, but life has thrown her a few awful curveballs her way lately. Julie lost her beloved son, Aidan, tragically and unexpectedly not too long ago. The immense grief and pain of his absence has felt insurmountable for her at times but she has bravely shared his story and tied to impact the community with his memory. And NOW amidst this profound grief, life threw another frightening challenge her way when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. That kind of news hits like a freight train and has shattered whatever normalcy she and Paul had after picking up the pieces when they lost Aiden.

Julie works part time, so has no PTO or disability, and financially they are making do, but a small gift fund for unexpected expenses would be a great blessing, make up for some of her lost income and relieve stress as she heals.

Everyone wants to help when someone is suffering, and this is a wonderful thing we can do to help. We have the opportunity to rally around Julie, to offer our love, support, and practical assistance.
