Help with medical and monthly bills.

Hi, my name is Michelle Geagel. I am starting this go fund me for our close family friends Danny and Abi Rios.

Danny and Abi both tested positive for COVID-19 in early October. After having completed their 14-day quarantine, both had tried to go back to work. Since he was diagnosed with COVID, Danny has been struggling with intermittent fevers. He and Abi were encouraged to continue to monitor his symptoms from home. Abi was convinced however, this last weekend, that something wasn’t right and she contacted Danny’s doctor who advised them to go to the ER. Since yesterday, Danny has had a battery of tests including X-rays, CT scans, labs, and cardiac ultrasounds. What we know as of this afternoon, is that Danny has multiple blood clots in his body. One blood clot had thoroughly damaged a portion of one of his kidneys and there was concern for more blood clots in his heart and in his head. Per an update from Abi, Danny was medevaced to Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage. The most recent update we’ve gotten is that, from imaging done today, it looks like he has also had a couple of strokes.

Together, Danny and Abi have 6 children:

Danny Jr, Jaime, Jadin, River, Katie, and Cassian. They are one of THE kindest families you could ever meet. Both Abi and Danny are incredibly strong, hard working people and would give the shirts off their backs to help another.

At this time, Abi has started the drive to Anchorage to be near Danny. Unfortunately because of COVID-19, she has already been told that she can not join him in the hospital. With Danny being hospitalized for an undetermined amount of time and Abi being away from work, it was decided that this was the best way that we could come together to help them. There will be monthly bills to pay (mortgage, utilities, and phones) in addition to all of the medical bills that have already started adding up.
