Help Arthur walk again

Read through for updates as we progress!

Arthur isn’t just a dog. He’s family. He’s the little wrinkled face that greets us every morning with a tail wag and a snort. He’s 9.5 years old, a spirited pug with the heart of a puppy, energetic, loving, and so full of life.

Until one heartbreaking moment changed everything.

A few hours ago, Arthur was doing what he loves most: playing in the park, surrounded by his dog friends, running as fast as his tiny legs would carry him. In a split second, during a playful chase, he collided with another dog. We thought it was just a tumble, nothing more than a harmless fall.

But when he tried to get up… his back legs wouldn’t move.

We rushed to the emergency vet. The diagnosis: a spinal injury. A sudden, devastating twist in his spine left his back legs paralyzed.

Our world stopped.

The good news: Arthur can be saved. Surgery offers a 70-90% chance that he will walk again. That he’ll chase his favorite ball, run to greet us at the door, and climb into our laps like he always has.

But the cost is more than we can carry on our own.

That’s why we’re here, asking for your help.

Arthur is in pain, but he’s fighting. He still lifts his head when we say his name. His eyes light up when we talk to him, and he tries to wag his tail. He hasn’t given up, and neither will we.

The surgery, along with post-op care and rehabilitation, is expensive. Every day we wait is a day that his chances may go down. But we believe in him. And we believe in the kindness of people who know that dogs like Arthur aren’t “just pets”, they’re pieces of our soul.

Please, if you can spare anything at all, help us give Arthur the second chance he deserves. Your donation, no matter how small, could be the step that brings him back to his feet.

Every penny will go toward Arthur’s surgery, recovery, and therapy.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
For reading. For caring. For helping us fight for Arthur.

With love and hope,
David

UPDATE - Day 1
He was admitted into care today at 2pm. By the evening, they carried out an MRI scan, and just as he was slowly coming back around, things took a turn. He vomited, settle him back under. We didn’t get to see him. He was just too fragile. He’s now on steroids, and we’re clinging to hope with everything we have. We’ll be back tomorrow, praying through the night that he finds the strength to keep fighting. Thank you for holding him in your hearts.
