Hi, my name is Marc. I moved to Stockholm from Florida about five months ago, chasing the dream of a better life. I came here with hope, determination, and the willingness to work hard and I’ve been doing just that, juggling two jobs (while studying at Stockholm University) just to stay afloat.
One of those jobs is delivering food by bike. It’s not glamorous, but it’s honest work, and it’s helped me survive in a new city. A few days ago, while I was working my second job, I locked my bike at the Universitetet subway station. After a long shift, I returned to find it stolen. It was heartbreaking.
That bike wasn’t just transportation—it was my livelihood. I saved up to buy it, paying 7,500 SEK (about $740 USD), and now it’s gone. Without it, I’ve lost one of my income streams, and it feels like taking five steps back just as I was starting to move forward.
I’m asking for your help so I can replace the bike and keep working. Every bit helps—even if it’s a small amount. Your support will get me back on the road, back to work, and back to building the life I came here to create.
Thank you so much for reading and for any support you can offer.
