Randy “my dad” suffered a stroke on Friday September 26th. He was flown from the hospital in Lehi to University of Utah icu where he is receiving the best care possible.

He currently has Medicare but only Medicare part A and b which only covers the hospital stay. Medicare does charge seniors a monthly premium, and his life flight alone will be spendy.

Once he eventually is able to go home he will continue to be on much needed prescriptions , blood thinners and more. His insurance will not cover these needed prescriptions and from what the doctors have said one of these cost on average of $600 per month. We are not sure yet how long his recovery once released will take , so financially this is going to cause a bump in the road.
