On Nov 14, 2014 SFC Michael Cathcart, 31, of Bay City, Michigan was kill in action during his 7th deployment in Kunduz Province.
Michael served with the 101st Airborne, Ft. Campbell from 2001-2007. Michael left for Special Forces Training in 2007, he was a member of the Special Forces Unit 3rd Group ODA 3314 from Ft. Bragg, NC. 2007-2014.
M-15 Ridge Rd/Columbus Ave to Cass Ave will be know at the
SFC Michael Cathcart Memorial Highway.
The funds raised with GoFundMe will be paying for the manufacturer, installation, and maintenance of the two signs. (One to be placed at each end of the above stated section of M-15 in Bay City, Michigan near Green Ridge Cemetery.
Any money raised above the goal will be placed in an endowment fund with the Bay County Community Foundation for future use to replace signs.
