Karen Rockhill NYC Spleen Surgery

For the past 9 years, Karen Rockhill has been diagnosed as having Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID). The disease causes her to have very low antibody levels. She has endured weekly treatments over the years and countless doctors visits to Burlington and NYC. She is often ill and needs to be hospitalized because her body can not fight off simple colds that can lead to brochittis or pneumonia.
Within the last 6 months, CVID, has caused Karen's spleen to grow tremendously. This has become life-threatening. Her treatment that she has every 3 weeks (administered by someone who travels from Saratoga area), causes the spleen to shrink in size temporarily. But, then within a week after treatment it continues to grow even bigger than the previous time. Doctor's in Burlington and NYC have finally came to the conclusion that her spleen must be removed. On March 2nd, Karen will have the surgery in NYC.
The cost of endless trips over the past years and out-of-pocket expenses that insurance does not cover have been financially difficult. Karen is employed full-time and so is Todd. But, they and her family have needed to take off days for many unexpected, but, necessary, medical issues. They are both very humble people and never would ask for anything. They are also giving people who would give their shirt off their back for others. Todd and her mom want to be with Karen during the time of her surgery. But, the cost of the hotel in the heart of the city is very expensive and he may have to stay 5 nights. Not to mention food and gas. Not having to stress over money at this time will ease their minds a bit so she can concentrate on healing.
She is also in need of many prayers at this time. Please pray to the Lord to watch over her, protect and heal her from her illness.
