Cody’s medical expenses and family support

About two weeks ago Cody began experiencing chest pain and pain down his left arm. That then escalated to extreme nausea, fatigue, and joint pain. His fever spiked Saturday at 103.7. He was given ibuprofen and an hour later his fever jumped up to 103.9. Because of how high his fever was, he was taken to ridge view medical er by his wife, Dani. There, they ran some tests to see what could possibly be going on before transferring him to Abbot hospital by ambulance. After having multiple tests and a TEE, the doctors found out that he had endocarditis which can be an life threatening inflammation surrounding the inner lining of his heart and valve. The infection that he has specifically is  staphylococcus aureus and it is on his right tricuspid valve. The bacteria attacked his right valve and is clinging to it, therefore he is on strong IV antibiotics trying to clear up this infection. He will remain in the hospital until his blood cultures come back negative and will most likely continue IV antibiotics at home for several weeks. He is very much missed by his family, his wife and children who all love and support him and are praying he will be out of the hospital by his birthday. 

This go-fund me is to raise money to help pay the medical bills, as well as support Cody’s family. His wife, Dani and his two children Jaxon (age 5) and Layna (age 7). With Cody, the main provider in the hospital and Dani not working at the moment, they could use the support of family, friends and the community to help fund his medical expenses as well as provide for his wife and kids while he is out of work and in the hospital. Anything will help whether you donate a dollar or just share this post. Any and all will be very much appreciated by the family. Asking for help is never easy but it is a sign of strength, not weakness.
