Skye's story!! What an amazing horse she is!!

Skye is a beloved riding school horse who has helped RDA and many many riders over the years learn to ride.
Skye is a massive asset to our team and unfortunately at the start of the year she needed a tooth out, all went great, but unfortunately the tooth next to the one which came out also needed to be taken out. So this was organised.
Unfortunately over the time of waiting Skye got a bad infection in her tooth, quite a lot of antibiotics didn't clear it so the vets said Skye needed a synoscopy...
In short her skull was drilled into in the middle of her head, then a tube was put in her face just under her eye, and we had to flush her sinus cavities out twice a day.
This was a long procedure but Skye handled it amazingly!! The vets where in awe of how amazing she was during the time at the vets, Skye came home and was isolated to just a few staff to prevent infection, the staff done everything physically possible, had extra vet visits etc and we all preyed it was going in the right direction. We then had the tube removed and the hole stitched up and got told to hope we don't get another infection!
2 days on nothing so we got the go ahead to take her for a ride to the woods! She loved a walk out! We then had to wait for shoes to be put back on but unfortunately Thursday last week Skye had a snotty nose... We new this wasn't what we needed .. call to vets ...
Unfortunately Skye is going to have to undergo another synoscopy operation!!
We need your help!!
I'm hoping from the bottom of our hearts we can get enough money together to give Skye the care we want!! The staff who where dealing with Skye want Skye to have the procedure done again but to stay in the vets this time for around 10 days! This obviously is an extra cost but it would benefit Skye so much more than being at home as she could have 24/7 expertise care!
The synoscopy itself is around £800, then livery to stay at the vets is around £60 a day, plus nursing costs -which obviously we are not sure of yet - any extra treatment she will need while at the vets - we all know things don't go as planned - and also the after care and rehab when she comes home!
We are hoping to raise £2500 MINIMUM any extra is a massive bonus as obviously we are not 100% sure what it is going to cost in the long run..
It doesn't just stop with the operation!
Skye has been so so amazing this entire time and our entire team is amazed at how well she has handled it all and been the best patient...
So far we have spent roughly £5000, we don't let our horses suffer in anyway shape or form so course we will do what ever we can to continue her care & get her the very best help she deserves
BUT
we need your help to fundraise and get Skye the best best treatment money can buy
Even if you can only donate £2 every penny counts!
Or pull in some extra ideas and fundraisers yourselves!!
We will massively appreciate it and Skye will forever be extra grateful!
It's not over yet!!
This is just the second part of her story to tell!!
The entire pakefield team are preying for a good outcome & a simple procedure and hoping she is soon back where she belongs & enjoying the lessons & rides again!
Please check out FB page for some fantastic videos of her!
