Hi, I'm Zak, and this is my dog, Luna aka Snufflelufagous. She was abandoned in my care by dog-sitting clients about a year and a half ago, and I couldn't abandon her too ...she's one of the friendliest, playful, most loving dogs I've ever met.

Luna first showed signs of stomach issues Wednesday Feb 4th in the evening and the vet thought it might be an object stuck in her intestines but we opted to have her come home, put her on some meds and a special diet in the hopes she'd get better... And she seemed to get better... She started to eat and drink again and her energy was returning.

Then on the Sunday night she puked up blood (I removed the picture of that - it's awful and there's a picture limit & the bills seemed more appropriate)... I had no choice if I was going to save her life so I signed an agreement to pay for her surgery which she had on Feb 9th in the evening at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic (VET) Toronto... after diagnostic tests confirm she had an obstruction that can't be removed any other way. She'll stayed another 48 hours for follow-ups and observation but apparently all went well.

Thank you everyone... I'm so grateful Luna's got her lifesaving surgery and for the assistance all of you have given us in paying for her care. Thanks to all your contributions, her story caries on... Vet bills are crazy. When I include the initial emergency bill and her after care., Luna's will be over $6000. At one point it looked like the costs were going to closer to $7,000 but then the vets reduced the bill back to their original high estimate because they forgot to get authorization first for additional charges. Thanks universe! And thank you all again and again too.
