Seybert Family Adoption
Donation protected
We are growing our family, but when or by how many is still to be determined! If you’ve known us for a while you probably know we cannot have kids the “normal” way due to Matt’s battle with cancer as a kid. You also probably know “normal” is not usually the way we choose to do things anyway, and we are still planning to grow our family! We are aware that adoption is a more expensive, traumatic and challenging way to start a family, but we believe it can also be a beautiful way.
We are currently pursuing a sibling set of two. They are beautiful. They are waiting. They are currently split between two different living situations while they wait for a family who is able to take care of them and reunite them.
At this point, we do not know if we will be done with all our paperwork in time to match with them. There is a chance we will end up being matched with a single child or a different sibling set and we are open to that, but right now we are hopeful that these two sweet boys will join our family.
To adopt a child from Taiwan, even though we live here, is still an international adoption and very, very expensive. To adopt two children at once raises the estimated price to around $40,000. We are hopeful to raise part of that money to offset some of the costs.
