During my recent trip to the Kibera slums in Nairobi, Kenya, I visited a tailoring school for young mothers. These abused ladies are trying to learn a trade and earn a certificate in tailoring to attempt a better life outside the slums. The building they occupy has limited electricity, and they are learning on treadle sewing machines. They are in desperate need of additional machines as well as fabric and other sewing needs.
The team I went with has a long relationship with Grace Children's Outreach Minisions and Epainiro Chahale. A non-profit organization.
