Hi, I'm Bianca, aka BeeSilva.Creates.

It’s the third year I am running this sewing challenge over on Instagram and I started it for a cause that is very close to my heart.

In January 2023, my dad passed away suddenly on my parents 34th wedding anniversary and an autopsy revealed it was related to hypertension.

It was only then that I realised having high blood pressure could be fatal if left untreated or undetected.

To make matters even more heart breaking, my dad was about 4 weeks away from a doctor’s appointment to start a treatment plan for his high blood pressure.

So I started this challenge for our sewing community as a way to raise awareness that high blood pressure is dangerous if you don’t take care of yourself.
