Donate to help our front line care workers (including NHS staff) with workwear as they fight Covid-19 in Chelmsford, Basildon & Southend.

There is nationwide shortage of work wear (mainly SCRUBS) vital for our front line care staff for every working day in hospitals, GP surgery’s, care homes and elsewhere in the community.

Large numbers of volunteers are ready to help by sewing at home producing clothing to the required patterns, but they need the materials to begin their work.  (update 25 April - they need more fabric to keep up their great work)

We have a team of local people setting up local groups to co-ordinate the activity, to supply the materials and to ensure delivery where the work wear is most needed.  Update 25 April - we have volunteer co ordinators and volunteer makers in Chelmsford Basildon & Southend)

Your donation is needed to cover the cost of the materials to make the items – below is an idea of what your donation will provide:-

 £10  –2 cloth bags required to transport contaminated workwear

 £20 – 1 full set of SCRUBS

 £50 – 3 full sets of SCRUBS 

 £300 – 20 full sets of SCRUBS  (average team on ward/ GP surgery)
