My sweet cat, Severus Snape, has always been full of personality and love. He’s the kind of cat who curls up in the quiet moments and makes our home feel whole. But last night, out of nowhere, everything changed. Severus suddenly began crying in a way I had never heard before, and he couldn’t close his mouth. We knew something was terribly wrong and rushed him to UrgentVet.
The vet discovered that his gums were extremely inflamed and that he had a couple of chipped teeth. What made our hearts sink even more was that the doctor could see possible signs of oral disease on his gums. Tooth Resorption Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions. They suggested sedation to look more closely, but they couldn’t do a full biopsy there. We were left with no choice but to transfer him to an emergency hospital for overnight care until a dental surgeon could see him.
Severus is not just a pet; he is family. He brings so much love and comfort, and I can’t imagine not giving him every possible chance at healing. This was all so sudden, so unexpected, and we are reaching out for help in covering these emergency costs so he can get the care he desperately needs.
Any contribution, no matter the size, means so much to us and to Severus. Thank you for helping us fight for him during this unexpected crisis.
