We are the Severin-Bogue Family, we are a family of 5 with 3 amazing boys. My name is Tony and my wife's name is Jen, she is only 38 years old. We have been very silent about our lives since November of 2023. Jen started having spasms, tremors, and skin so sensitive that she can't wear 90% of her clothes. Her eyes burn all the time to the point that she can't look at her phone or her computer for long at all. Fingertips act like they are burnt off, so it hurts while she was trying to do her job. She has been taken off work and we don't know when or if she'll be back to work. Which is not good because she's a paralegal and loves her job. Because of her eyes, hands, and short-term memory loss she can no longer successfully work and that is one thing she loves. Some other symptoms are that when she is walking she has to take numerous breaks. Even if only going to a different room at times. Going upstairs is absolutely horrible for her. We have a 2 story house, with our bedroom in the basement and our only bathroom is on the 2nd floor. She has to walk 2 sets just to go the bathroom. She has to take several breaks, due to her muscles weakening. The muscles in her thighs and arms are what bothers her the most. They burn and cramp and make it so she is unsteady. She pretty much can't do anything that she would do on a normal basis. She is also almost bedridden. There are plenty of other symptoms as well, but I don't want to bore you with all that. She has been doing test after test after test. so much blood work, one time they had to take 19 vials of blood. MRIs, EMGs, Colonoscopy to endoscopy, and a lot of other things. Her Dr. is the most amazing woman and the best Dr. in the whole world! She has kept going and hasn't yet given up. She is always researching and trying to get her into a neurologist. She even had the Doctor above her meet with Jen. Their suspected diagnosis is a terminal illness called ALS. We are hoping and praying that it is not. ALS has a life expectancy of 2-5 yrs. We started researching and we want to go the more holistic route. But, that route insurance will not cover it, it will be more costly out of our pocket. In our research, we have found groups that have actually reversed their symptoms or at least slowed it down by using holistic practices. Plus all of the accommodations we need to do to our home, such as chair lifts and, an adjustable bed, the list will get longer if she can't get her symptoms to slow down. We are asking for help, Our family would be humbled and very thankful for any donations, even if it is $1.00. So, Jen and I really hope you find it in your heart to help us. God has led her journey and he continues to always show her the way. She wants to fight this tooth and nail. We want to grow old together, she wants to watch our 3 boys grow up. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
