I’m reaching out for help after an unexpected health and housing crisis turned my life upside down.
This past year, I was exposed to toxic mold (biotoxins) in the ADU I was renting. What started as severe stomach pain soon escalated into full body pain, IBS, extreme fatigue, brain fog, memory loss, hormonal waves and an ovarian cystectomy. Independent lab testing confirmed the presence of multiple mycotoxins in my body, including ochratoxin, verrucarin, satratoxin, and gliotoxin.
This toxic exposure triggered Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) — a complex, multi-system illness caused by biotoxins that the body can’t properly recognize or clear without intensive treatment. When these toxins circulate unchecked, they disrupt hormones and trigger widespread immune dysregulation and inflammation that spreads to multiple organs and the brain.
Unfortunately, recovery from CIRS doesn’t happen overnight. Medical experts estimate that full recovery typically takes 6–12 months of intensive treatment, environmental control, and detoxification. During this time, even the smallest re-exposure to mold can set healing back dramatically.
What I’ve Lost
- Personal belongings: over $15,000 worth of personal items (furniture, clothing, artwork, bedding, etc.) that I had to throw away due to mold contamination.
- My home: I had to abruptly leave my rental with nowhere safe to go long term, leaving me effectively homeless.
- Income: My primary income was cut by more than half. It's been much harder to focus and produce at my previous level due to surgery, intensive detox, and relocation.
- Health: This illness has wreaked havoc on my body, causing hormonal imbalances, digestive problems, chronic fatigue, anxiety, and memory issues.
Right now, my immune system is so hypersensitive that I'm living in a tent to avoid any mold exposure that could trigger a severe flare-up. With winter approaching, I'm desperate to find a safe, mold-free place to live so I can continue healing.
Ongoing Costs of Recovery
- Medical specialist visits (out of pocket)
- Shoemaker Detox protocol (cholestyramine and other binders, BEG nasal spray, itraconazole anti-fungal, peptides, monthly specialty supplements)
- Lab testing, food marble and follow-up care
- Air purification, ozone machine, environmental safety measures
- Sauna blanket, EMDR, and IVs
Because CIRS recovery takes 6–12 months or more, this support isn’t just a one-time emergency fix — it’s the foundation that will allow me to consistently treat my illness, stabilize my housing, and rebuild my life.
What I Need to Heal
I’m asking for help to raise $20,000 so I can recover and rebuild. This fund will go toward:
Medical & Recovery Expenses ($10,000): Shoemaker detox protocol, lab work, specialist appointments, supportive detox therapies to treat CIRS
Safe Housing ($6,000): Securing a clean, mold-free place to live (deposits and initial rent).
Essential Belongings ($4,000): Replacing basic necessities I had to discard due to contamination (bedding, basic furniture, clothing).
This support will directly help me secure a roof over my head and continue the treatments I need to get my life back.
How You Can Help

If you can’t contribute financially, please consider sharing my story. Every share helps reach someone who might be able to assist. Even a kind word means so much to me as I navigate this difficult journey.
Your support in any amount will bring me one step closer to safety and health.
