Seven Reasons
***UPDATE: Fundraiser now closed***
Massive thanks to everyone who contributed! We raised over C$11,000! Thank you!
***UPDATE: Fundraiser still open***
Huge thanks to everyone who has supported this campaign and helped us reach our first fundraising target of C$10,000! If you came here to donate, please don't be deterred by the fact that we have reached this target. We still need your support..
While Parkinson’s remains incurable, there will continue to be a need for the medication to be purchased and distributed to those that are unable to access them in Africa, - every additional C$30 to C$50 buys another month's supply (prices vary by country) of Parkinson's medication for those in need.
This means that as the next stage of our campaign rolls out, we’ll be targeting new fundraising milestones.
I am so excited that we reached our first fundraising goal! Because you chose to care, many people across Africa will be able to get the Parkinson's medication they so desperately need.
Please share this good news and encourage others to join us in this worthy cause.
Thank you so much!
ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
The Seven Reasons video above is a moving and compelling 5 minute video that highlights the profiles of Africans living with Parkinson's disease. Please watch it, share it, and donate, if you can. All the funds raised through this campaign will be used by the World Parkinson's Program charity to provide free Parkinson's medication for Africans who are unable to afford it, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about World Parkinson's Program: Our Mission: To improve the quality of life of those affected by Parkinson's disease through education, advocacy and providing free medication and supportive services. Our Services: We provide free medication, education and assistive devices to people with Parkinson's around the world. Our services aim to help minorities, those living in poverty and those living in isolated communities (i.e. rural areas), as they may be unable to afford or access medical care leading to a poor quality of life.
