SEVA for the SADHUS Feeding the Holy Men of Arunachala

Donation protected
Hi, Adima here and I’m raising money to provide seva to the sadhus of Tiruvanamalai, South India.
✨ What Is SEVA?

SEVA means selfless service — giving without expecting anything in return. It’s an offering to the Divine, given with love and humility. In Indian spiritual traditions, SEVA is a sacred act that builds positive karma, opens the heart, and reconnects us with something much greater than ourselves.

Who Are the SADHUS?

SADHUS are Hindu holy men who have relinquished worldly life to walk the path of spiritual devotion. Many reside around Arunachala (Shiva Mountain) in Tiruvannamalai, wearing saffron robes, ash, and prayer beads. They live from the grace of the universe and the kindness of others.

They are the silent guardians of energy at one of India’s most sacred pilgrimage sites.

The Girivalam Path

Earlier this year, I felt called to offer SEVA to the SADHUS in Tiruvannamalai. Along with a friend, we bought meals and water and walked the 14-km Girivalam Path, offering hundreds of nourishing meals to SADHUS around the mountain.

The Girivalam Path circles Arunachala, believed to be the living form of Lord Shiva. It is the spiritual heart of Sri Ramana Maharshi and draws pilgrims seeking purification, devotion, and stillness.

This SEVA Mission: August 2025

This August, I’ll return to Tiruvannamalai to continue this SEVA — serving meals, water, and care to SADHUS around the Girivalam Path.
• Cost per SADHU: ₹100 (≈ £0.86) — includes meal, water, and travel support.
• Goal: £500 to feed 500 SADHUS, cover logistics, and include extra support.
• All additional funds will go directly toward continuing SEVA for even more SADHUS.
• I’ll be assisted by a local mountain guide familiar with the sacred terrain.

Mantra & Spirit

Though GoFundMe doesn’t support background music, the energy of the mantra travels in spirit:

Om Namah Shivaya — a loving chant of surrender to Shiva.

Even without sound, its vibration carries me on every step and every meal offered. Feel free to chant along and join from where you are.

Sacred Offering for Donors

In gratitude for your generosity:

Your name will be spoken aloud in a sacred fire ceremony (Homa) on Arunachala.
I will ask for blessings for you as I walk and serve.
You will receive a Rudraksha bead — sacred Shiva seed, blessed with holy ash from Arunachala.

To receive your bead, please send your postal address to:
Go Fund Me email address provided at donation

I’ll collect the beads in Tiruvannamalai, return home, and personally post them to each donor.

Updates & Connection

I’ll share photos and updates during and after the SEVA, so you can see the real impact of your offering.

Why This Matters

This is a heartfelt offering with deep meaning. The SADHUS live in surrender, preserving the flame of devotion. Feeding them instantly honors that flame and supports the soul of spiritual India.

Even if you can’t donate, please share this page or keep them in your prayers.
Currency & Funding Summary
• ₹100 per SADHU ≈ £0.86
• 500 SADHUS = ₹50,000 ≈ £428
• A £500 target covers that fully and leaves extra for ongoing support.

All additional funds will go directly toward continuing SEVA for more SADHUS.

From deep gratitude and devotion,
Adima
