We’re raising money to help fund extra-curricular clubs and books for schools and children in impoverished areas, we have a collective goal of £500. We’re fundraising by running a marathon each during half term.

The money we raise will pay for books to be issued to children in families supported by Home-Start this Easter. Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers who support families with young children through their challenging times. Many children do not own a book of their own. www.home-start.org.uk/about-us

On top of this, for every book we gift, £1.50 will be transferred to Mabel’s Fund, which pays for extra-curricular activities at schools located in areas of high child poverty.

The book is “Braveling Saves A Snow Leopard” - a climate adventure, animal rescue, fun facts and simple climate solutions for little ones to practice. Co-authored by a 91 year old lady called Mabel who runs a social enterprise with her grandson - www.mablesenterprise.com
