Hi my name is Leonie and I run an organisation called Pups and Paws Prevention C.I.C. We support animal welfare causes both in Cornwall and abroad.

On Sat 27th September 2025, I will be attempting to complete 30 miles of the South-West coastpath in Devon (Stage 2 of this event having completed the Cornish leg in July 2025)

I am raising funds on behalf of the Gunjur Dog Patrol in The Gambia (who are in the process of setting up a neutering clinic) and Jack's Giant Journey (who can provide a skilled team of both veterinary and non-clinical volunteers). These two amazing organisations will be spearheading a spay/neuter campaign in The Gambia in early December 2025 at the brand new neutering facility at an Eco Lodge called Foosteps and through community outreach. Funds raised will assist in the cost of clinical equipment, facility equipment and veterinary equipment and medicines.

This is a truly progressive and preventative step forward in an under-served region of West Africa.

Humane population management through mass sterilisation events is critical to reducing the numbers of litters born. Rewilding efforts also benefit from a reduced global stray animal population.
