Seth is a beautiful, smart, loving, and HIL-ARIOUS, 8-year-old boy. He has dedicated parents, he has friends who love him, and he has family that supports him.
Unfortunately back in March 2020, Seth was also diagnosed with DIPG. DIPG stands for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. It is a very rare and brutal brain tumor that is inoperable and is known to have a 0% survival rate. Despite statistics, the John family is determined fight back.
Regardless of everything Seth and his family have been through over the last five months, Seth remains the sweet, funny boy we all know and love, and his parents remain by his side through all of his treatments.
Seth's parents, Stephen and Lori have the hearts of two people who just want to make the world a better place. As one of Seth's teachers for many years, and working at the same school as Lori, I have grown very close to the family. I have seen first hand the love they have for their son and the love that they have for each other. I have seen first hand the kindness that they share to those around them, and without expecting anything in return, the love that they radiate out into the world. Seth has just begun treatment in Boston, and the costs that come with the travel can add up pretty quickly.
Although money will not heal their hearts, it does help alleviate the financial toll and provide support for Seth's family as they continue traveling for the best treatment they can find. Any amount is greatly appreciated but also feel free to leave words of encouragement, a funny story, or a joke (Seth loves a good joke!).
