Seth Johnson Tragic Accident
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tearinie Hunt, and I am fundraising for Everett (Seth) Johnson. Seth is in dire need of our community coming together to help him through the next several weeks/months as he recovers from serious injuries that he sustained in an accident on his way home from a gas station. So, who is Seth and what has happened?
Everett Seth, meaning brave and appointed, is the son of Ed and Michelle. Seth is a brother, an uncle, a friend to many, and a devoted member of the National Guard. After completing a 2-week guard detail, Seth traveled his normal route home, on Krebs Station Road in McCracken County. On Saturday, June 18, at 9:20pm, Seth’s motorcycle abruptly left the roadway off the right shoulder, and Seth crashed. Seth was life flighted from Mercy Health in Paducah, KY to Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN.
Seth sustained substantial injuries that includes a broken L2 vertebrae, broken ribs, broken right leg, a brain bleed, severe road rash all over his body, and a gash in his neck cutting an artery. A bone graph was done, and a rod placed to repair the spinal separation. The right tibia and fibula were broken, and the muscle shred. That has been repaired with a rod and wrapping of the calf muscle. It will take much physical therapy to heal the muscle. There is still a minor brain bleed and an inability to move the right shoulder/arm.Seth is currently on the trauma floor at Vanderbilt and will undergo more surgeries in the future. He has a long road to recovery. Seth just began a new job and does not have any medical insurance to cover any costs. The auto insurance is liability only and therefore, Seth is left trying to heal in a growing mountain of medical debt that is only going to worsen. This does not include any of his recurring bills that he is responsible for like rent, truck payment, etc.
We are asking for any donations to help cover his medical and personal bills while he is recovering and unable to generate any income. At the drop of a hat, Seth is willing to set aside his wants and sacrifice everything for anyone in need. Seth joined the guard to serve and protect with ambitions of becoming a local emergency responder. As with any service member, Seth has a heart of gold and right now, it is his time for need. We are asking you, anyone that can and is able, to please help in some way.
If you can't help financially, please just continue to pray for Everett Seth. From all his family, we are forever grateful for all your prayers and financial blessings to help him recover from this tragic time in his young life. Thank you all and may God Bless each of you with the same loving kindness he blessed Seth with.
