Phillips Family In Need

Hello and thank you for visiting the GoFundMe page for the Phillips family, who have recently suffered a devastating tragedy. Seth and Erin (Schwegel) Phillips grew up in the Alton area and graduated from Alton High in 1992 and 1993 respectively. They married and had three beautiful children, Ian, Hannah and Elyse. Early in July of this year, Seth, whose life purpose was to be a dad to his beloved children and a husband to his best friend, drove Elyse, Hannah and two of Hannah’s friends from central Illinois to have a day of fun at Six Flags in St. Louis. On their way back, mere minutes from their home, Seth’s car hydro-planed in a rainstorm. His car crossed the median and into the path of an oncoming semi, which struck it. Seth, Hannah and her friends were killed instantly. Elyse survived but not without severe injuries which are keeping her in the pediatric ICU. Elyse has just begun her long road to recovery. Erin and Ian are struggling with overwhelming grief as they stay by Elyse’s side at the hospital. This family have lost an amazing husband, father, and friend. They have lost a daughter, sister, and niece.
