My name is Amanda and as painful as it is to say, our beloved Seth Dries has passed away.
Seth was so many things in life but most important to him were his roles of son, brother and uncle. Seth was a truly family oriented person with a beautiful heart he wore on his sleeve.
Seth loved deeply and fiercely, protecting all those he held dear. He would give you the shirt off his back even if it meant having nothing for himself. At the drop of a hat, our Seth was there in any time of need.
Seth was an amazing person but he had his demons, just as we all do. He fought a good battle but in the end, those demons got the best of him.
Now we, the family, are left questioning every detail and wondering how and why a life so young was taken from us. We attempt to comfort ourselves and struggle to find the words to explain to the two little lights of his life, his niece and nephew, why their "Uncle Seff" can't come over to play and wrestle anymore.
My husband and his family are dealing with their own struggles and triumphs outside of this catastrophe.... my mother-in-law is awaiting testing to see if she is a candidate for an organ transplant and my sister-in-law is engaged and planning her wedding.
It has been a rough year and I am creating this to help alleviate some of the financial burden of my in-laws having to bury their youngest son.
Do not feel obligated, prayers and kind thoughts are also welcome and very much needed. If you do feel inclined to donate, please know that it is greatly appreciated. In a time of such darkness, it makes all the difference to have a little light.
Please know, we love and appreciate you all.
