As this young man’s best friend, I’d like to ask for help on his behalf. An 18 year old transgender boy from your community could really use your help. Recently he was kicked out of his home due to verbally abusive and unaccepting parents, he now stays with a friend and their family. However, he has no car, no insurance, little money, and relies on the family and now the community for help.

With this fundraiser we plan to buy him an economical car under his name so that he can not only begin to gain credit, as he has none, but also so that he can get himself to and from his job at Build-A-Bear. This would also give him freedom, as living under his verbally abusive and overbearing parents caused him severe depression, anxiety, and paranoia.

This week the family he’s with have bought him his own phone, one he can use to text and call with but also call his own without fear of it being taken like before. Although the family was able to help out by getting him a phone, giving him food, water and a place to live, they cannot offer much more due to their own financial situation.

Any help, no matter how small or large, is an immense step forward into helping him out. As a dear friend of mine I'd like to help him as best as I can, and this is one of the few ways I can think of to help him out with. Please consider the livelihood and situation he is currently in. I’d also like to preface that he knows nothing about this, the family, his boyfriend, and I are all hoping to keep this a secret from him, that way not only will it be a delightful surprise to him, but it will also prevent him from getting his hopes up just in case this garners little attention.
