Serving Up Strength for Somer Mejia

On Saturday April 12th, Somer Mejia’s world was shattered when his 16 year old son, Nicolas, lost his life due to a violent crime in Ashburn, Virginia. No parent should ever have to endure the unimaginable pain of losing a child, especially to such senseless violence.

As Somer grieves the loss of his beloved son, he is also courageously fighting his own battle with cancer. The weight of this tragedy, coupled with the financial strain of ongoing medical treatments has placed an overwhelming burden on Somer.
