Serving God with Cirrhosis!
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Steven Chenoweth. I have been serving God for over 31 years. I am the Pastor of the Almond Church in Gillham, Arkansas. My church is a small country church that is over 100 years old. This is where I have been trying to serve God for many years but it has become more difficult due to a diagnosis of Liver Cirrhosis.
I have Non Alcoholic Steatohepatitis. This is Cirrhosis of the Liver with an unknown cause that is NOT related to alcohol. I have never even tasted alcohol! Sometimes this is caused by a medication, an infection or fatty liver disease but the cause is unknown . My body hid any warning signs that could have prepared me for this devastating diagnosis. I was told , at first, that I had cancer! I was terrified!! Then during surgery the doctor discovered that my liver was in a lot of trouble. My spleen was removed which compromised my immune system. I am very blessed to not have cancer but I am at an increased risk of developing liver cancer.
Caring for others has ALWAYS been my passion!! Unfortunately I find myself being the one in need. I have many doctors appointments and due to living in a rural area it is usually quite a drive!! I unfortunately, can no longer drive myself and am dependent upon others to take me wherever I need to go. (I do not qualify to ride the medical van or the senior citizens van.)
I am trying to raise funds to cover my travel and medical expenses but ultimately I am hoping to feel more like myself again by serving God through helping others!!! Any extra funds that I receive I hope to use to help other people in need!! I will continue to serve God to the best of my ability!!
I am asking you to donate, if you can! Share my story, if you can't donate and always keep FAITH IN GOD!!!!!
THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!!
