I am unfortunately creating this gofundme on behalf of my mommy.. We lost her so unexpectedly, so fast. I am Alyssa, one out of four of her daughters. My mommy was diagnosed in January with follicular lymphoma of the abdominal area, drs were hopeful & she started treatment right away, however despite treatment her cancer kept getting worse and she was then diagnosed with aggressive B cell lymphoma just months later which was accompanied by horrible, aggressive symptoms that took a toll on her & treatment again stopped working for her. She was then referred to a specialist in Cleveland. She was at an appointment with this specialist going over her next course of treatments and was receiving fluids before leaving when she all of a sudden became confused & lost her ability to speak with stroke like symptoms. She was rushed to the ER where it was confirmed she didn’t have a stroke but was then diagnosed with Leptomeningeal cancer & it spread quickly to her brain.. she began to suffer from more and more confusion, agitation, horrible migraines, & overall wasn’t herself anymore. This happened Tuesday July 22nd, my sisters visited her all the way up till that Saturday July 26th where they expressed despite her still being very sick, tired, & in a lot of pain she was also still awake, alert, talking & eating. However things took a turn for the worse Sunday morning July 27th when she was found in her hospital bed unresponsive with an irregular heart rhythm they used efforts to restart her heart normally but was unsuccessful & she was then put on life support. After an MRI it was discovered that she had severe swelling in her brain & the cancer spread more. She didn’t have any reflex responses & we were told she had no brain activity. After many tests to see if there was any hope or any bit of brain activity left everything was unsuccessful & we were told she had a 99.9% chance of ever waking up again. My mommy was gone. We had to make the worse decision of our lives as sisters and daughters, we had to remove her from life support on Tuesday July 29th. Now we are all lost and confused on what to do next because unfortunately we as well as my mom didn’t expect any of this to go the way it did. She had no will or life insurance in place. So we are asking for any help if possible towards her last wishes & services, as this was so sudden and none of us were expecting to lose our mom. We are all so lost, devastated, & absolutely heartbroken.
