Services for Tracy Lawrence

Hi, my name is Maya and I am raising funds to help cover the cost of final expenses for my father, Tracy Lawrence. On February 27th, my family's world was turned upside down. My mother lost her husband, my sister and I lost our father, and my two young daughters lost their Pop. I have no words to describe how any of us are feeling. We didn't know he was sick. We didn't know how little time we had left with him. We were not prepared for this.
My dad was the kind of man who looked so incredibly tough on the outside. I used to joke that he looked like he just popped out of a mountain one day because he was a big, burly, outdoorsy man that loved to hunt and fish. Those who knew him knew he was as soft as a teddy bear. He could often be seen walking his tiny Yorkshire Terriers through town, and one winter he used the snowblower to make a path for a bunny that he thought was having a hard time making it through the snow. If he loved you, he loved you with everything he had.
I want to remember my dad as the guy who in the summer would go outside, crank his music up high, play his harmonica and air piano, and sing along, just loving life. The guy who found peace sitting on a river casting a line in. The guy who made sure I had a full set of cast iron pans when I moved out because why would you cook with anything else? The guy who welcomed every neighborhood kid into his house. The guy who cried tears of joy when he found out he was going to be a grandfather and the guy who scooped up his newborn granddaughter as soon as he could come in the room and just admired her. The guy who was there for his girls no matter what we did or said, day or night, we could call him and he'd be there.
Life will never be the same without him.
He would probably hate that I have even put this together and am asking for help, but he did not have life insurance and this was completely unexpected. Even if you can't donate, we would love for you to still share a happy memory you have of him. The happy memories really do help the healing process.
For anyone interested in attending services, there will be a graveside service at the Haselton Cemetery on March 15th at 3:00 pm, followed by a reception at Rudy’s Scar Bar & Grill on Springfield Road.
