Hi everyone,
We are so, so saddened by the loss of Rog (as I called him). He was a beloved husband, brother, friend and most of all, father to me and my seven brothers and sisters. Beyond devastated is how I would describe our first week without him.
So many people have been asking how they can help and unfortunately it's come to be that this is where help is now needed most. Our parents believed they had a life insurance policy to cover funeral expenses, turns out they do not. Our parents believed they had a policy with the local funeral home to also help cover some funeral expenses, turns out it's not been long enough. They won't pay out the policy.
Rog would probably be mortified that I'm doing this. Asking for help, especially financially, is such a hard thing to do. We've have had such an outpouring of generosity... the likes of which I've never even heard of. Every single phone call, text, meal and anything else that's been sent our way has been deeply appreciated. If anyone feels it in their heart to assist financially, please know our family is eternally grateful. Thank you for helping send him off in the manner in which he deserves.
