I'm Lex, and I am a 10th grade student at The Greenwood School in Putney, VT. I hope to travel with my school to Rwanda through Inshuti of Rwanda in November on a service learning trip. We will be working with a local community to build a family home, and we will also travel and learn about the country and its culture while we are there.

I am raising $6,500 to cover the costs of my trip. Because the trip is a service learning trip, we are also raising money to contribute to the cost of building a home. My parents have said that they will cover my part of the donation toward building the house if I can raise the money to cover the costs of my trip. If I hit my goal, they will also cover all the GoFundMe transaction fees.

I am excited about what I hope will be a meaningful and transformative experience and about experiencing Rwanda through service learning.
