Hi! I'm Mya and I've started this GoFundMe in hopes of raising enough for a service dog.

I'm currently in my third year of university with my sights set on medical school. I love immersing myself in school and working on various projects with my friends. I'm especially an outdoorsy person; if there's a drop of sunshine I'm happy!

During my sophomore year of college an unknown illness set in. Over the course of just a few months I suddenly became so weak I had no choice but to use a wheelchair. One year later with a boat load of symptoms I'm still working with specialists to find a fitting diagnosis. Throughout this past year I've struggled with losing different aspects of my mobility, but have had the amazing support of friends and family behind me. I also had my sweet pooch, Milou, who sadly passed away earlier this year. I am ready for a new companion, and would greatly benefit from the assistance of a service dog. A service dog would drastically help my daily independence in addition to living a less painful life.

Any funds raised will be put towards a service dog. It costs thousands of dollars to raise, house, and train service dogs to effectively and safely work with their partners. Please consider donating as much or as little as you can. I greatly appreciate the care and support!!
