Help Me Get a Service Dog to Manage Life After Two Heart Transplants and Chronic Illness
Hi, I’m Cailie and I’m raising $7,000 to get a specially trained service dog to help me navigate life with multiple complex health conditions.
I’ve had two heart transplants and live with a compromised immune system, along with hemiplegic migraines, lupus, fibromyalgia, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and anxiety just to name a few! These conditions cause chronic pain, mobility challenges, and unpredictable symptoms that affect every part of my life. I also get sick very often since I’m on immunosuppressants.
A service dog will be life-changing for me. They’ll be trained to:
Perform deep pressure therapy (DPT) to ease pain and reduce anxiety
Alert me to dangerous changes in heart rate and blood pressure—critical due to my heart history and POTS
Assist with mobility, helping me with balance and physical support
Retrieve medications when I’m unable to get them myself
Warn me before I pass out, so I can get to a safe place
The cost for this life-changing service dog is $7,000, covering training, veterinary care, and necessary equipment. I’m unable to cover this myself since I’m not always able to work given my heath issues and am humbly asking for your support.
Every donation helps me move closer to greater independence, safety, and improved quality of life. Thank you for your generosity and for sharing my campaign.
With gratitude,
Cailie
