Our daughter is the bravest, smartest, kindest, most precious girl in the world. She has recently been the victim of the most horrific trauma. In order to allow her to move on and have a full and complete life, we have been advised to get her a fully trained, ADA compliant, Psychiatric Service Dog. Unfortunately these dogs are not covered by insurance and they cost a minimum of $30,000!

A Psychiatric Service Dog should NOT be confused with an Emotional Support Animal. A Psychiatric Service Dog is fully trained and performs specific duties/tasks to help the owner. Some of the duties our daughter’s dog will provide are interrupting anxiety or distress by providing psycho-emotional grounding by nudging, pawing and leaning. They assist in waking a person from night terrors, distract a person from specific maladaptive behaviors, lead a person to an exit if they experience a panic attack, provide deep pressure therapy to help with grounding and stand in front or back of a person to create personal space and block strangers from being too close. She has been matched with 2 potential dogs.

Most of you are aware of our daughter’s commitment to animal welfare as she has dedicated her life to saving the most vulnerable animals out there. Now it’s time for an animal to come to her rescue! She didn’t ask to be victimized. She deserves to have a chance to restore what was taken from her. Having a Service Dog to help her heal and move on with everyday life is exactly what she needs to get her life back. We will do whatever it takes to make this happen for her.
