Service Dog Needed for 11 year old
Donation protected

During her last hospitalization, she got to meet Lorenzo - the hospital's Therapy Dog. We were amazed at the interaction between Jordan and Lorenzo. Immediately her whole demeanor changed as she sat quietly petting and talking to the dog. Even her heart rate slowed down and she was able to relax for the first time since being admitted. After researching, and speaking to her psychiatrist, therapist, and doctors, we found a great non-profit organization (Service Dogs Express) and applied for their help to find and train an appropriate dog for Jordan.
We are raising money to get Jordan a Service Dog that will be trained specifically trained to disrupt and redirect her panic attacks, provide pressure therapy to ground her during the panic attacks, as well as wake her during her night terrors. Jordan is extremely bright but her anxiety and health issues are preventing her from being able to complete basic school work (even though she understands the material). Please help us raise money to pay for the extensive training that is required for these amazing animals.
UPDATE:
The school district is attempting to refuse access to her service dog. They are trying to say he is just an emotional support animal despite his extensive and Jordan- specific training. There is a simple but clear legal definition. Please help us with the legal costs of getting Joey access he should be guaranteed under ADA guidelines.
