Service dog in car accident

Last week, on New Year’s Eve my dog, Zanzibar was hit by a car which has resulted in a severe break of her left leg, open wounds and a gash down to her femoral artery. This has devastated me, she is my best friend and confidant. I got her last year to help aid in my mental health. She’s always been able to ground me. For that, I owe her the world.

So far her vet bills have summed up at $5.6K and I don’t really have much more than that. She still has months left for recovery including a very pricey reconstructive surgery, wound dressings and frequent vet checkups. I’m just a uni student working part time, I don’t know how I can afford this.

This is where, reluctantly so I ask for your help. It would mean everything to us.
