Meet Summer McFaul
Summer is 5 years old, this past year she was diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder - level 2, ADHD, and significant learning disabilities. She loves spending time with her family and riding horses in the summer. Due to her disabilities she struggles to connect to people which causes her a large amount of frustration. When Summer begins to get upset she tends to cry and yell, sometimes she even tries to inflict pain on herself and others. Her diagnoses is incurable but there are methods to make it easier for her. We just purchased a puppy for her, and we are looking to get him trained to become a service dog. Some of the things Summer's puppy will need to be trained for is, tethering to Summer when she is out and about to keep her from running off (she has no sense of danger), compression therapy, and redirection for when shes having her melt downs. The Training will cost around $10,000 and the rest of the money will go towards travel back and forth throughout the training as the training will take place in Illinois and our home town is in Wisconsin. Summer is very excited about her new puppy and that she will be able to take it everywhere with her including school. Thank you in advance, even the smallest amount helps!
