Service Dog for Bri: Help Me Get Back On My Feet

Hi! My name is Brianna Anders, I’m 24 years old and I could use your help. At 15 I began getting very ill and weak. I struggled everyday through the pain, nausea and fatigue so that I could finish high school. It took years of testing, doctors and many emergency hospital visits to find out why I couldn't function like others my age. It turns out that I have a number of conditions that affect many systems in my body including POTS/EDS, Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia and Lupus to name a few. These health issues have resulted in me losing some of my mobility without assistance and as a result my independence. Over time I lost my job because I had so many days where I physically could not get up without being in pain. I was finally able to qualify for permanent disability. Because of what I have been through and watching the world continue without me being able to be a part of it, my morale is at an all time low I started looking into ways to regain some of my independence. After a lot of research, a service dog could be exactly what I need to get back out into the world. Once i spoke with my doctor and got a referral I began the rigorous application process and recently found out that I have been approved to receive one of the puppies after it has been trained for my specific needs including help with my balance, pulling my mobility chair and helping to wake me up when I lose blood pressure and pass out. Being approved is half the battle, paying for it is the next. If you are willing to donate to help me offset the cost of one of these life changing dogs I would be so incredibly grateful.
